I'm absolutely in love with the color scheme! It has all of my favorites - baby blue, mint green, coral, pink...

I love those colors too! Not to mention the turquoise. WOW!
Where did you buy the pretty pedal pushers?

Thank you, Cherry Lips! I got the pedal pushers at a local used clothing store, but they are Ann Taylor. They're actually a more normal length pant, but I had to roll them up :)

Thank you, everyone, for your lovely compliments!

Ebay, deadstock. You can also get them through Payless Shoes, if you want a more affordable option.

I own a pair of the payless saddle's and they have held up pretty well for the past 2.5 years. They mark easily but its nothing that white shoes polish can't hide. I am going upgrade my saddle's this year to a pair of muffys but my payless ones have been pretty good too.''

The best thing I've found for cleaning the black marks off my saddle shoes is to use an ERASER. Seriously. It works like magic every time.

Kitty T, I love your new finds they look fab!!! Why did'nt we get to see your face too ???

Because I was lounging around the house yesterday and way too lazy to put makeup on :) Also because it's hard enough to get the perfect pose I want without having to worry about my stupid facial expressions too!

Unfortunately Payless in Canada doesn't offer saddle shoes (not that I've seen at least). I have been waiting to find a cheap pair but maybe it just isn't happening

They aren't too obvious even on the US site. Have you tried using the search option? Search for saddle....

Two great finds - I hope!

0ca0_1.jpg

I've been looking for navy shoes that are clearly not post-WWII. (I just don't care for the shape I keep finding.) These are not only the right period, they're interesting! I love the black trim.

I only got these because the pictures weren't that great and the description - specifically the measurements - were kind of flakey. Yes, it's a gamble. But I think they'll work just fine. I sure hope so. Otherwise they would've gone way over my budget, instead of staying well within.

And this lovely black velour hat, Czech-made:

It's tagged to fit my big head, so that's safe. I'm just a wee bit nervous that it'll end up being 1960s instead of 1930s. I adore the soft, low-crowned, tilt-brimmed felt hats of the late 1930s. (Like this, this, or this.) The shape is so hard to judge online, though. The 1950s, 1960s high-crowned bucket/faux cloche style is close from certain angles, and in the past I've talked myself into things I've regretted. What do you ladies think?

Sunny, the shoes are to die for, no doubt about that. The hat, well it looks very gorgeous, but you can never really say if a hat is good until you've seen it on a person's head, so post pictures when you get it, I'd love to see how it looks when worn!

I just bought this lovely little number on Ebay:

I think I'll have to get it hemmed, but other than that, I think it will fit well! I'm excited! I haven't been able to find anything in vintage stores that I like lately, so I'm pretty pumped that I found this dress online.

Sunny, I'm always pleased to meet someone else who takes a 23 inch hat! And it looks lovely - hope it turns out to be what you want. Great shoes, too - the black trim and the cutout hearken back to some of the earlier elaborate styles of the 20s.

Gorgeous dress, Pigeon Toe - colour, neck, shoulders, buttons...everything!
