Oh Wow Nikki, that is awesome!!!
What I wouldn't do to win the boarding suit that seller has. But, the price is a bit steep and I have a feeling it will go up a lot more. I'm gonna keep my eye on it though, as well as some other things offered by that seller.
Great purchase, and great price too!:eusa_clap

Both of those Lilli Anns are DIVINE! So divine that I nearly spilled my coffee when I saw it. If anyone ever comes across a beautiful 40s 50s, sculptural Lilli Ann suit that has a 32-34 inch bust, please pick it up for me! I've been looking for years.

I just won this cute yellow cardigan on ebay. The seller says it's wool, but it looks like cotton to me. I'll figure it out when it arrives. I love how the buttons make the center of the flower when they are done up:)

Daisy, that cardi is lovely. I've never seen buttons done like that.

Thanks! The buttons are what attracted me to it. I like to look at the other bidders who bid on items I bid on, just to see whether or not they are vintage dealers. Just about all the bidders on this sweater had vintage stores on ebay. I'm not even sure if this is 40's, although I've bought from this seller before and she is great. But I do like the fact that other sellers were trying to win it, even though they did drive the price up a bit[huh] I have a very cute white cotton circle skirt with embroidered yellow flowers that I got two summers ago, surprisingly from Banana Republic, this will look great with it. The skirt looks exactly like a circle skirt from the 50's, but it didn't sell very well. I guess at that time modern girls wanted mini jean skirts instead of shin length circle skirts. But, lucky for me, like the majority of my Banana purchases, I waited for it to go on sale. Every time I went in the store to see if it was on sale there were still a ton left, nobody was buying them. So I waited about 6 weeks for it, and eventually they put it on clearance for $9.99!! Marked down from $120. Definitely my best deal there ever, even cheaper than the outlet. But now I have the perfect yellow sweater to wear with it. I love it when I can turn my modern clothes into vintage. Sometimes things just come together:)

Grace, I'll be on the lookout for you. I'm at Brimfield this week and you never know what's out in those fields!

I was thinking of taking a ride out there sometime this week. I'd just have to borrow Hemingway Jones' truck so I would be able to get all the loot I'm planning on getting back to Boston!
Do you live out near Brimfield? So many new ladies joining us from Massachusetts. We really do need to get moving on a get together. Let's show those Arizona ladies how it's done!:p Now that we have Jitterbugdoll has been officially recruited to our side of the country, it should be a breeze:D!!!
Let us know how Brimfield is. I've never been and really want to get out there, but I've been a bit under the weather these past few days, not even a huge vintage selling ground is motivating me to get out:( Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel less "Poopy" (Sorry Lolita I stole your saying) and be motivated to drive out there.

Thanks ladies for all the compliments on the cardigan. I am in need of cardigans, so I'm glad to have won it.

I just won this pretty pink dress on the bay. I'm a bit miffed though. I put it on my watch list a few days ago, I placed my bid at the last minute like I always do, but didn't review the stats on the dress before placing it. I wouldn't have put it on my watch list if it weren't something I wanted to bid on. After I won it I noticed that the seller had "revised" the description, just last night. She changed both the waist and bust measurements, both an inch smaller than she had originally stated:mad: The waist should be fine but I'm concerned it will now be too small in the bust. It's my own fault, I should have double checked, so I can't return it if it doesn't fit. I guess it's time to get a minimizing bra. Oh well, hey JBD, I've got another dress for you. It's a 28 inch waist so it might be a bit big but you can always cinch it at the waist with a belt.. You probably look great in pink! Well, at least if I can't wear it I know it will go to good use, that is until I get sick again and lose the weight again! Which might be sooner than I expected, since I have been feeling, as Lolita says, a bit "Poopy":)

Brimfield was slim-pickings for vintage clothing. There were vendors but a lot of crap compared to what's seen online. Prices were high too.

Picked up some lovely Art Deco sterling bracelets for a good prices, some very kitchy 1950s earrings and a fabulous pair of 14K gold hair earrings. These have lots of gold compared to others and were just wonderfully done. Couldn't resist.

I'll be going back Thursday and Friday (exhausting to do it every day -- I need a day off!)

I live in Virginia for most of the year and spend summers on Cape Cod. I grew up in Framingham though.

Pink is a favorite color of mine--I'd be happy to borrow that cute frock, Daisy. ;)

GG-that is so cute I just want to dance around with glee! I love squaw dresses and things with rickrack. I just found a wonderful purple vintage squaw dress about a month ago at a yard sale for $4, and it fits! I wore it dancing and it twirled so nicely. I bet you will look so cute in that pretty dress. :)

Slightly :eek:fftopic: If you (or anyone else) ever need any replacement vintage rickrack, I have tons of it. For some reason, I buy it whenever I see it at sales if it's cheap, so now I am the Rickrack Queen. And bias tape. Soutache braid. I love trim! I love the older colors and the fact that it is 100% cotton, not polyester.

That rick rack dress is stunning!

I'd go mad sewing all that rick rack! Whenever I buy vintage I think "could I make this easily?" and if I answer "no" I'm more likely to make the purchase. That would certainly apply here.
