Well behind the front lines!
I recently rode the White Pass & Yukon RR for the second time in my life (my wife and I were re-creating our honeymoon trip on our 15th anniversary).
No steam running that day (locomotive 73 was sitting outside the Skagway shops with her smokebox lid removed) but other than that, not much has changed up there since the 50s.

We did our annual Phantom Canyon ride to Riverside Wyoming. Up through the Colorado Rockies into Wyoming. The mountains are always fun, but the ride home was hot and mainly straight roads, plus the I25 parking lot. Only took one photo, every one was in a hurry this year.

Silver ARP badge.

Brass Metropolitan police whistle.

Both from the 1930s.

...Yes I'm aware that actual ARP-issue police-whistles came with "ARP" stamped on them. I don't have one of those in my collection...yet.

One thing I should add, standing there, with all the motorcycles turned off, it was if we were no longer in the 21st century!

A picture of my great aunt's garage that's falling apart. I thought it would make a neat photo in black and white:

That's the kind of garage dreams are made of! I can picture a Duesenberg, or a disassemble p-51, and everything collectable in between in there!

Well my aunt is 93 and still kicking, so I'm sure there's a great many hidden treasures all over her house.

Bushman, love the B&W garage picture. I have a bunch more or less like that I took years ago. I refer to it as my Walker Evans Phase.
