Sweet! While I love the look of classic Harleys, they just don’t fit my riding style or seating position. The Pan-America is the first Harley that I would actually own!
Nice to find this thread... and seeing all the really awesome bikes.
Anyways, here is my contribution, I have a few bikes but only noticed a couple of Ducati's posted here, so here are my two Mike Hailwood 900 Evoluzione (MH900e). One is in the stock red color (nr. 1305) and the other is with the carbon fiber kit (nr. 1729). Only 2000 of these were made and sales started on 1/1/2000. It was the first motorcycle model bought online only based on a prototype, and not knowing the outcome the target was 1000 models which sold out in like 10 minutes, so they added another 1000 which also sold out very quickly. Interestingly about half of them are said to have been sold in Japan. Remember this is Y2K when everyone was thinking the Internet and world was going to potentially crash. Deposits were required at time of order, and delivery took place to dealerships in 2002. Spare parts are like unicorns since they were never stocked by dealers so things are getting harder and harder to source. That's the brief back story but there is a lot more details in case anyone is interested.
I took a spin on Sir Costalot to a regional bike meet and out of the thousands of bikes, the one I really liked was this 75 electric start Norton. Real Dunstall Decible silencers, it sounded really nice.
