World War II Weekend

I live in PA, and this talk about a WWII weekend in Reading has stirred my interest. When is it, and what goes on?

Why thank you Lauren, most appreciated. That was a great trip to Disneyland. We'll be doing another trip there in December and I hope to get more of a "It's a Wonderful Life" look to some of the photos with all of the Christmas decorations around. Here are a couple more of my B! Wear Gatsby Cap.

DanielJones, I get my hats from all over! I try not to spend more than $20 a hat, but every once and a while I'll go in for the big bucks if they're special enough. My absolute favorite place to find them is estate sales or garage sales because it feels like you're rescuing them! I also run across them on Ebay or in Antique stores. It's getting harder and harder to find good and stylish 30's and 40's hats! All the years of girls playing dress up with them, or they are way out of my price range. Here's some more of mine:

Here's the back of that one. I forgot to get rid of the black hair tie for that one. Oops!

Looks great with the pinstripe suit. My favorite suits always had that super light pinstripe. The beachcomber hat I can really see in the keys with a frozen beverage of some kind.

Great Photos, Alan!

A very nice collection...I'd be happy with any of them. I haven't tried a homburg yet - not sure that I could carry it off as well as you. The Biltmore looks great, and the ribbon treatment on the Miller is first-rate - an unusual but very flattering color. My favorite however, is the beachcomber. It might've been 45 degrees outside, but you look straight off the beach.
