VERY cute! How long is your hair when it's not set? That's how I want to wear my hair but I think mine is still too short.
ya know what honey, the curl really sucks up the length! I got it cut in Nov to 6" Middy. I am guessing by now it is close to 7/ 7.5" Middy. I want to shoot for a 8 or 9 inch Middy since the tighter the set, the longer it lasts, and you can see where it ends up when curled. Uncurled it hits my SHOULDER!

I was afraid you'd say that :D I have about 3in to grow before mine hits my shoulder.

My 'do looked better before I brushed it. Please excuse the unmade-up face. I was still trying to decide if I wanted to wash and reset it.

I've been trying to find that darn hot sticks thread but this will have to do!
I got my first set of hot sticks in the mail today and tried them out right away.

I am extremely happy with the results as well as how little time and effort they took! With a bit more practice I think they will look fantastic :)

GREAT HAIR!!

more images from the show and hair here.

Hi Everyone!

Anyone knows how to get the back to look like those models?
It looks like a great solution for long hair. I tried doing something similar a few times put it was a total disaster! It so hard to get it neat like they have it ( Hard for me at least) Help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Amaranta,

I'm no expert, but just a thought...could you cut a hair rat and use it as a form to roll the back then bring it together to make the circular shape and pin it?

It sort of reminds me of faux bangs, but done as a chignon. Beautiful style and the model is lovely!

I thought about that, I'll give it a try when I get my hands into one of those!
I'm not sure I'll be able to do it, but it'll probably make it easier...
Thank 's so much! This would be such a great solution for my (always problematic) back section!

First of all, that hairdo requires quite long hair, to the middle of the back at least. And you need a good thick rat or extra hair to attach to your own. Also, since it sits so low on the back, I don't understand how you would attach it? Unlike a normal back roll, which sits higher, that one would have to depend on being pinned down into the rat alone. Or what? I'm intrigued.

You could write the Bobby Pin Blog and ask for a tutorial. :)

I'd also suggest trying one of those foam tubey things that they sell at beauty supply stores. They have straight ones, also circular ones.

That's just what I was thinking. I would watch Fleur De Guerre's tutorial and do something like that in the back, perhaps use a longer rat.
