I've been slacking on the sets for a log time because my hair was really short, and then too-short for my ability. Now I'm finally in curling range again... For the first time in ages I went dark. I'm a natural redhead, so it still sort of shows though, but I've finally got my left side curling towards my face. I have no idea how to fix the right side...

Sorry for the bad pics (phone) and the funny faces (trying to concentrate on phone and stay in the light...

eta: sorry no make up and the red blotch on my cheek is ugly dry skin...

SugarKitten your hair looks really good that length it really suits you ! Are you using pincurls or rollers? and do you have a specific set you're working from?

Pineapplefruitcake - mostly rollers, though I used a curling iron for the bangs and the very back where it's too short for my rollers. No set I'm working from, mostly because I'm terrible at remembering which way I'm supposed to roll the curl when I'm trying to follow instructions.

Hey Sugar, haven't seen ya for a while! Hair is look'in cute!

My husband and I took some portrait pictures lastnight. I did the twisty thing in the back like I posted but I didn't put in a flower. My favorite comment of the night was when one of the hotel workers pointed me out to a waitress and said "doesn't she look old timey???". lol

SugarKitten - haha I barely ever use sets as I don't have any books right now and I can never remember them either - if you're hair is too short for rollers could you try using pin-curls or hotsticks? Not really sure about how to fix the right side- you may have noticed I'm not the most precise with my hairstyle ! but it might help you if you neatened it up a little with a curling iron after you roll it or I know some people make sure they roll the hair the top section of hair forward towards your face so that it falls down and over your face - if that makes any sense

SheBear - thanks ! I wish I could say that I made the dress but I'd be lying - I bought it from a little store in town but the brand label says that it's TikiShop. Also i LOVE your shoes ! Are they repro or genuine vintage ?
