Hi Kitty~ yes, I color my hair. I use Pravana 7.45 mixed with a smidge of 7.66

The 7.66 makes it quite dark at first but if I don't add it then it fades so quickly. Ask your stylist if they can get that brand. And it also depends on what your natural color or starting color is. I'm a natural level 5, brunette.
Also, Redken Shades EQ Bonfire is very similar.

My false pieces usually match pretty good, depending on what light I'm in.. and at what phase my red has faded to, lol!

Thanks everyone!
Nikki

More pictures! Yay

Here is a picture of me washing plates after a wedding. :eusa_clap I did my hair according to Lolita's 'Rita Hayworth' tutorial again.

And this is my husband and me at another wedding this summer. I put a side part in my hair and did two rolls. I used a makeup brush handle to do my rolls. It was very easy. I curled my hair with a regular set of hot rollers.

This is how I did my hair to go to work one day. I did a little roll/curly thing, on the front and put the rest in a tight ponytail. I'm not wearing make-up in this picture but it looked really cool with red lips. And yes, I have a dance pole in my dinning room.

I think all of these were done with pin curls, except for the one with the scarf which was done with a curling iron.

Johanna, I'm so glad you're posting here now!! Your pics just take my breath away. LOVE the scarf, Marilyn do, and rolls on top and hats. You look fab and perfect in each one! The parasol pic is just brilliant, and so cool that that is your grandmother's jacket.

Faith, lookin' awesome girl.. wow, it's really gotten long, yay!! Did you pull all of your sides into the rolls, or just the top section of your sides, and the rest of the sides in your piggy tails? Hope that makes sense!

MarieAnne you look lovely.. such a great figure! Ok, what's with the plate washing, hehe!

Thanks so much both of you! Both the umbrella and jacket were my grandmother's actually. Plus those black t-strap shoes I'm wearing with the black dress. And the pearls and peacock brooch I'm wearing with the white jacket.

How wonderful to have these special items. And they are all in pristine condition! Those shoes look like you just bought them! Have you a photo to share of your grandmother?

I'm currently visiting my boyfriend but when I get back home I will find a picture! She died about two years ago now and I miss her terribly, so it's very nice to have a bunch of her stuff.

LO-LI-TAHHHHH!????

Hey Lolita, I saw you finally tried rolling your hair on the purple rods instead of peach. How'd it turn out? Take a lot longer to dry or no?

It is taking FOREVAH!!! I like to put rollers in my hair while it is in a ponytail and let me tell you, I set my hair Tuesday night and the middle of the pony is STILL WET!!! Not damp, but WET! Arg! Ok... looks like I was exaggerating a bit... they are only damp a day and a half later, but I will be styling my hair soon so I will let you know how the tighter curls actually work. :)

Oddly enough, I think I will use the purple rods to curl my hair when I plan on styling it down, but when I do the mock short do, I think I am going to go for bigger rods and see how that works. Perming rods are so cheap too so buying all these to experiment isn't a problem.

Johanna, WOW. could you show us your set of pin curls some time?
Have you showed us all up on the Ladies of The Lounge thread yet? :p

Lolita I don't even have as much hair as you and mine would be the same way. Do you sit under a bonnet dryer at all?

No... I would like to get one. Right now I just have a hood dryer, but it doesn't get the areas I really need, so I think once I get a bonnet, I'll sell the hood.
