Great Job Pigeon Toe!!! It looks just gorgeous!

You too Anabolina! Those rolls are hard to do, especially when you get to the back! Practice makes perfect, and you've done real good for your first one!

Cute Pidgeon! I can do that to my hair, I don't know why I never think to :) It would be quicker for me than a head full of curls.

It's not really hard to do, but I'm so proud of this one :D

Naama, this is so cute! I really want to try it. Do you use rollers, pincurls, or an iron for this look?

I love the blonde, as well...*jealous*

I used pincurls, don't roll them up too high, I think I rolled them till my eyes or something, I don't really remember lol And I didn't brushed them out, I just run through them with my fingers, and that VERY carefully!

Yes, the blonde is great! But you don't want to know in what condition my hair is........

Photo evidence of the one magical day my hair did I wanted it to. This day has never been repeated. lol

I have extremely full head of curly hair that tends to stick out every which way except the way I want it to. My husband says I look like Phyllis Diller when I wake up in the morning. It's crazy hair that gets really big when it's humid. lol lol lol

Bebop your waves are great! I love your hair color too, I'm very envious of redheads, I don't think I can pull the color off though.

I'm determined to make my hair more wavy and less spiral curled. So last night I gave it another shot, I got a bit more waves than usual but the curls were still fighting me.

Anyone have any suggestions for getting curly hair to wave? I haven't tried pincurls, I'm afraid I'll end up with nothing but frizz, maybe I'll try some large rollers this weekend. I saw a wave tool on ebay once, but I've never seen it since, it was vintage and looked like a big wavy clamp. I like trying to use vintage beauty tools, I used my pink 'beauty queen' hairdrier for this do. It works good, but doesn't get near as hot as a modern one.

My hair is actually past my shoulders, almost to my boobs (I really need a trim), so I'm sure you could easily do a pageboy if you wanted to! I love doing curls with hot sticks with this length hair because it brings it up to just below my shoulders, which is a perfect length for me. Simple curls would look great with shoulder length hair too!

I'm so jealous of straight hair because my hair always looks like a bird's nest! The secret to the finger waves are this weird, antique spring-loaded hair clip that I found in a bag of metal curler rods at a garage sale. I've never been able to find another clip like it. An entire set of them is my holy grail. Like I said, I only have one clip. So for each wave I had to set my hair with the clamp and setting lotion, let my hair air dry, take the clamp out & put it back in my hair in the next spot - let it set & air dry until my entire head was done. It takes almost an entire day for everything to dry, so I don't do it very often.

Well, that red is "enhanced" a bit. ;) My hair is naurally red underneath but I put dye over it to cover up the forest of white hair that's growing on my head. My natural hair isn't nearly that vibrant. But it's nice because once the dye fades a bit, it matches my natural hair color and you can't tell I have roots. I wish I could get away with a darker haircolor myself, but it's not very flattering to my skintone. I tried it once and I looked like a corpse, it brought out a blue undertone in my skin. It really made the veins in my skin stand out! So, I'm jealous of your dark hair!

Would you be so kind as to take a picture of it and post? I have a 20s event in November and I'd love to figure out how to do some good waves!

lol Thanks. I can't hang that picture up because I've never been able to recreate that hair that well again. Looking at the picture would just make me angry because it would taunt me. lol

I'll try to remember to take pics of the clip tonight. I'm going to be alone tonight - I've got a date with a box of hair dye. It'll give me something to do while the dye sets.

Many of the ladies here swear by pre-natal vitamins for making their hair and nails grow faster.

The funny thing is: I am preggers and taking prescription prenatals, and I don't see a difference lol

i had my baby in may and have been taking perscription strength prenatal vitamins for a year now. it took a long time for me to notice anything. in fact, my nails didn't see any improvement until AFTER i had my baby. now for the first time in my life, they are growing fabulously and hard as nails!
and i didn't notice anything in regards to hair growth. my hair did get thicker during my pregnancy but that's only because you don't lose hair while preggo.
i wish it would grow faster though. i'm trying to grow it out!
