Hi ladies,

I've been doing lots of vintage inspired dos, using the new spin pins. Love them!

I keep seeing those in every store, and keep thinking about buying them. How do they feel on the scalp? ie do that have a lot of pull to them?
My head has been so sensitive lately that even having it pulled lightly back in a pony for a few minutes starts to drive me crazy. I don't want to cut my hair, its the longest it has been in years, a medium long length, but its sooooo hot to keep it down all day.
Trying to find something to do with it.
Thanks

I haven't been on here for such a long time so I've been looking through page after page of all the hair I've missed!

Inspirational as always! I'm going to a wedding on Saturday so will be making an extra special hair effort, maybe I'll actually get round to posting some photos!

Also, just wanted to say how great Antje's turban tutorial is. Looks so fantastic for something so simple. Thank you!

From a couple of weeks ago- at the time I thought I was having a bad hair day… but looking back it wasn’t so awful (apart from looking so dry)! Anyway it’s since been cut, and I haven’t changed my set so hopefully it will be the same- but more of a halo of curls instead- fingers crossed!

Wow, I so want your bad hair days! You look fantastic. You're giving me hair inspiration.

Hey :)

This is me on my "go to" hair. Very useful as I swim in the mornings and don't have time to do anything major with it. It's just a roll and the rest tied back (excuse it looking a bit wet still :) )

Hope it's acceptable!

Acceptable? Gorgeous do!

Antje, it took me a while to figure them out. Now I find them easier to use than bobby pins and I only need to use one!

faythe, I have one in my hair right now and I don't even feel it. In any of the dos, I've not had them touching my scalp. Hope that helps!

Everybody's hair is always such an inspiration. I just spent the last week reading this ENTIRE thread! Phew.

I thought I'd share my attempt today at victory rolls. So far this is the best job I've done, although I still need to work on placement. I'm getting there! I set my hair with sponge rollers last night using ClaraB's tutorial from waaay back in this thread. The front came out too curly for my taste and brushing didn't seem to help. Otherwise I think I am really loving this set. Everyday I get a little closer to taking the Middy plunge. It's a lot of work brushing curls into waves with my long hair.

RedSquare, your hair looks great. I can see a difference between these photos and one you posted previously - your rolls have improved and it appears you have GOT IT! Way to go. This style suits you very much.

Thanks HepKitty!

Clabbergirl- Thank you very much! I can see improvement too on the rolls, sometimes I have a tough time getting them pinned up where I want them. :)

Sheeplady- Thank you :)

I've just returned from holiday and had to catch up a bit on all the posts on this thread, and as always, you all look great!

Tupps, I would love to know how you do the fringe waves? I have been trying to figure out how to do this for ages but I just can't do it! Please, please tell me how you do it? :)

I was quite pleased with how these curls turned out. I used foam rollers with only two rows around the head. I have to say that foam rollers are working out really well for me and this wet set lasted much better than my pin curls used to.
