Finally took a picture of the new 'do. Just a basic pincurl set, brushed out, and the fringe (bangs) curled with a curling iron.

A rather plain Jane day today. Sans-red lips, and in my very non-vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles top. Very much a lounge-around day today.

It's not vintage, but I liked it. It kinda looks 60's=ish. It was SO hot here today, that I had to get my hair off my neck, and wanted to try something other than a pony.

It's a sideways roll at the top, then a french twist to the side. with a bow stuck in between the rolls.

It is a pretty good set, if you did it with straws, looks difficult to me.
and you have lovely butterflies flying around

Thank you ladies for your wonderful comments! That hairstyle was achieved with pillow rollers. I purchased them at Target for $9.99 for a pack of 24, I have ALOT of hair so I had to get 2! I'm thinking of getting another one, because sometimes it still isn't enough!! Well I rolled everything down, let it set overnite, then combed it out with various brushes and combs as I'm still figuring what comb/brush works for me. Maybe I'll post tutorial pics....:)

I don't know whether I should compliment you on your hair, dress or bike! The hat is super cute too.

msrsimpkin, you make me long for setting my hair because that's how I used to prefer to wear it except I used rollers because I never got the hang of pin curling, took too long for my level of patience anyway. Perfect brows too.

Hmm...I know it won't have staying power but I feel like rolling my hair dry (oversensitive scalp that's currently a bloody, rashy, mess:eek: ) just to get some sort of style again. Very motivating.:)

First of all, thank you for all of the kind comments to my last post :)

After having my hair cut for the first time in quite a while it felt like it was in much better condition, so I thought I'd have a go at wearing it straight for a change. I just blowdried the ends under then curled the fringe under with curling irons and it turned out OK. I don't really like using straighteners every day so it may not be like this for long, plus blow drying seems such a bind after getting used to putting curlers in and just leaving it :D
