I have an old, 1920's vintage Husqvarna hammergun. It's slim and trim, looks and handles like one of the high quallity British game guns, but at a much lower cost. I got it about ten years ago from Simpsons for about $300.

Just added this one to the herd. A Baikal Bounty Hunter 2 in 12 gauge. Gotta love those hammered SxS.

New in my collection, a near mint condition S&W Model 29-2 with a 6.5" barrel, made in late 1977. The bluing is perfect, and only a partial turn line on the cylinder. Cylinder lock-up is tight, with virtually no end shake. I feel like I went back in time to a 1970s gun store, and got one brand new!

Very nice! I absolutely love those older N-frames. I have several variations of the model 25 that I enjoy very much. In my opinion Rugers are the king of modern single-actions, but Smith and Wesson's double-action revolvers are a true work of art and an example of graceful workmanship, and can't be beat.

I've shot a lot of .41 from a 4" Model 58. Not what I'd call fun with factory HPs. Mag-na-port helps some on that end for the shorty. Ballistically? Between a 6" and 3" barrels, depending on the bullet weight, factory loads typically drop 100 fps, per inch, pretty consistently. Less so for a heavier bullet. At a 2" barrel the drop is 200fps or more. 3" seems a sweet spot for powder burn on the short 41s.
