I have showed this Super Star 9mm before but, I have made an improvement. The original grips were checkered plastic, and one was cracked (first 3 pics). Well, I had so me chunks of walnut laying around so made a new set of grips (last 2 pics). So far, the tools and ability to checker is beyond me so, plain is what we got. But as for looks and feel, these grips are a big improvement. Finish is a (home-made, or mixed at least), blo and rub on poly blend.

Well, I have never previously been much of a Webley fan but if there were a sudden surge of them, like the Nepalese Martinis, I believe I might just get in line . . .

Beauty!

Here is my 1949 Colt Detective Special. It is a transitional model (still has old style frame) and also have the "Coltwood" grips. The holster is a vintage Jay-Pee hip holster and the fedora is a Dobbs Savoy. This Detective Special/holster was a Brooklyn NY rig View attachment 45121 .
