I had a nice one in .43 Spanish, sold it with 40 brass shells. Wish I never did! It was a great rifle.

Got a little Boiled Linseed Oil on the stock and there's a slight fiddleback that shows better in natural light.

Sweet!!! I'm a sucker for Krags! There was a bubbatized Norweigan here at Cabelas a while back. Outside not so bad. Like an old 1930's job. But the bore looked like it had been rifled with a piece of barbed wire!!

Great catch!!!! Pickin's have been really slow around here.

I have seen my share of sewerpipe NKs. The math was very much like when the Finn Mosins came in back in the 80s-90s, only instead of dirt-cheap surplus ChiCom ammo vs. Norma that cost nearly what the gun did for Finn Mosins you had surplus Danish or Norwegian with ultra soft steel jackets or absurdly expensive Norma. So, just like you see a lot of Finns with rough bores (even knowing they came in the Country with decent or nice bores) you see a lot of NKs with awful bores, like the Norwegian Cavalry Carbine I passed on last year.

Not vintage, but a modern classic, Been wanting a Sig 239 for a long time and picked this up today. A SAS in .40, the wood grips have been replaced with some Crimson Trace ones.

This is my only handgun. Colt Officers Model, 38spl. with Roper walnut grips. Dates from the 40s. It was my Grandfather's, then Dads now mine. It has seen little use and is in very nice condition.

Report on the 239 SAS, got it to the range and it started having FTFs! A quick check showed NO lube at all, I had a small bottle of Militech with me, a few drops and it ran perfectly! Sounds like repeat DUHS on the previous owner and Yours Truly. A very accurate little beast, I will have to get used to the laser dot.

Sigs are great well made weapons and 239's are no exceptions. Glad you got to enjoy the "toy". I got a couple of Sig's myself a 238 and 938 ( I like 1911 style pistols) both are accurate and smooth I wouldn't trade or sell them for the world. If this is your first Sig after shooting it a while you'll feel the same way. Good Luck and Great shooting.

Bas, this is not my first Sig, I am admitted snob when it comes to their autos and S&W revolvers! That is why I feel so dumb at not checking the gun for proper lube, there are currently 3 Sigs here now, the 239, a 229R in .40 and a 220 in .45.

Glad you're a Sig guy. So you like S&W's also. I've got a low numbered Model 1917 nickle plated. I'll post it when I get a chance.

As for being remiss, don't worry about it everyone makes mistakes. Happy it wasn't a costly one like having the barrel blocked.
