I found a bunch of pictures from my parents' wedding day. I have one scanned and I love the clothes.

I hope this is the right to place to post this. I'm sorry if it's not and I've made a faux pas.

I'm talking to my mother on the phone right now and it was 1945.

Thanks. I have a great bunch of photos from then.

I think this maybe the wrong spot on the forum too.
I do not want to steal anyone's thread, but I wanted to post my folk's on their wedding day too for a while now. Aug. 1943 in San Rafael, Calif.

I agree. I'm new here, so who has to do that?

Here are a couple of honeymoon pictures. It was February in the Catskills.

I love my mother's shoes and my father's leather jacket.

Your folks look fantastic! I would adore to have an overcoat like the one your father has on in the first picture, while that bound edge fedora is to die for.

Thanks. I think the clothes are really neat. I have several other pictures of him in that coat and fedora in other locations.

Great photo! A very happy couple I must say. And yes, I can see a lot of resemblance between you and your Mom! If you had a hat like hers and styled your hair like hers, I'm sure you could almost recreate that photo to some degree... And the clothes shouldn't be too hard to land... so many gals here have connections for gettin' vintage.

Love it!

That's one beautiful picture. The spirit of the day and their happiness really shines through!
It's a shame it didn't last. They were divorced when I was 10.

I wasn't married in the golden era, but my wedding gown was from the 30s. Would it be appropriate to post a picture here? I loved that gown.
