I had the same idea as Joe, but it seems I failed. Just can't stop myself from saving a good hat. And I was doing so well for most of the year.

The finders (those that will move on or already have).

And keepers (for now at least). At least I did better than last year buying less hats, so I say it's progress.

May have missed some here and there, who knows?
I think you have missed some. I know of four Barbisios that belong in your finders list. They have already been shown in this thread, though.

I got almost all my keepers in the collage. In no particular order, I got my John Batterson 20, Hemp Open Road, Jack Lord, Black Stetson 7X, Stetson No. 1, 3X Open Road with Last Drop liner, Superior Hats Panama OR clone, Hornskov Walker, and Wright Constellation, not picture a modern Borsalino Como II this year. Hard to pick a favorite, but I can't wait to get my No. 1 back from being restored.

I always look forward to this thread as it forces me to take stock of the hats bought during the last year. So thanks Gary @The Shoe for starting this thread every year.

I didn't think that I'd bought that many this year, but was surprised to find that I'd actually bought 36 hats. I may be missing a couple, though.

12 Top Hats (I was somewhat taken aback by that)
12 Fedoras
6 Homburgs
5 Bowlers
1 Cap

If I can find them all, I'll gather them together for a group photo.

The most memorable are a P & C Habig pre-WWII Homburg, a French pre-WWI Top Hat sold in a Japanese department store, and my bespoke Hornskov Mogul. Thanks to Stefan for being the go-between for the Habig, Gary for being the go-between for the Topper, and for being the inspiration for the Hornskov. I finally fulfilled my New Year's resolution of about 3 years ago :)

This reminds me of the fun my wife and son had at my expense scrolling through my eBay hat purchases of the last few years and counting out loud. (2020 was a bit out of hand!) LOL

I hear you, Joe. I'm sure in previous years, I've bought more than 36 hats.

3 a month on average is pretty low. Surely?

Hooray! You've bought more than I have! Well, you've kept more anyway :). 2021 was the worst year (I think) of my HAS with 142 bought and 87 kept!
