I've been trying to find a shoulder cape replacement for my old Outback oilcloth duster. It's a black, snap on cape. But am not finding any source on line that offers just the cape.

any ideas?

When you say "Outback" do you mean Outback Trading Company, or another brand? The best, probably only, way to get a replacement would be to contact the original company.

OTCo..already did that. they said they don't offer just the cape. And I don't need another coat. This one's a good 30 years old or more and still going strong.

Just finished proofing a used Drizabone duster recently acquired, the cape part is sewn on. Looked up Outback Trading Co, nice products. Googled Oilskin and see you can buy it on-line, if you can’t replace the cape by other means would it be possible to buy the material and get a local tailor to run you one up?

^ I'm surprised but also not surprised that the original company can't/wont' provide a cape. The other option is to find a used coat from the same brand in the same size that's cheap (and ideally with a coat that's in worse shape than the cape) and take the cape
