It looks tacky...it looks crappy as hell...so yeah, it'll probably sell huge. We'll be bemoaning the look, along with thongs (be that the flip-flop or butt-floss types), and tuxedo shorts and T-shirts at funerals or weddings, and all of the sundry other fashion attrocities we come across.

Actually, I don't think it's a bad idea - just one that shows his sense of humour and extreme individualism.

Plain cuffs on short sleeves are considered acceptable and they feature on many conservative short-sleeved shirts. (Here's a UK one; and here's an Italian military one).

Short sleeves/French cuffs with a plainer link could look good.

Here's hoping for an Apparel Arts illustration, or similar...

Wouldn't be my own choice, but I'm not offended by it per se. Puts me in mind of some of the button details I've seen on the cuffs of short sleeved blouses for ladies'.
