More pictures to come for another pair for sale...however these are vintage florsheim shoes. I have had our shoe guy here (Cobbler) replace the heels on this pair with some nice vintage heels as the original heels had some slight edge wear on the heel area. These shoes are in really nice condition. The soles are what may be called "soft spade sole influence" as they are not a true in the sense spade sole, but can be called a soft spade sole shape. The shoes when first arriving here, had been "defunked" (all shoes get this treatment new or not new)...they are sprayed with Hospital Surface Disinfectant (actual brand name of the spray product), on the inside a few times inbetween spray applications. Next the inside of the shoes are lightly wiped with rubbing alcohol, and then washed with saddle soap. Next they are inspected to make sure nothing needs to be repaired. These only needed heels, as the soles are in very good shape for the age of these shoes.

Next they got the treatment.....Cadillac Boot and Shoe Care conditioner. I am not sure how long the shoes had soaked in the conditioner as it was a while ago but I do know these shoes took an entire bottle of conditioner soaked into them over a week or so time frame. They need nothing done to them. If something was wrong with them, I would have it fixed before putting on the market for sale. The color is not common with this model of Vintage summer shoes at all. You can see from the first picture as close as I can get to the actual color. The suede is near mint on these shoes. The mesh is in perfect shape...and the laces are the original lace. Inside of the shoes is clean and not torn up, the back of the upper heel of these shoes is very solid and not worn or broken down internally, nor externally. In just great shape and condition for their age, maybe 1940's but more than likely 1950's...? There is desired white stitching on the shoes welt. These are also made during the time period when Florsheim was the king of the pack and road among the better made shoes of the day. You find similar shoes made by Stetson floating to the surface every now and then on eBay, but not too often do you see any of these type of shoes, a ventilated soft spade shoe in this color.

If you wear a size 10 1/2M or 11M and your foot is not too big, these shoes will fit you. If your feet are big on the 11M or more side and your feet look like a couple of canned hams, these shoes are not going to work for you at all.

Price: I ask $100.00 shipped to anyplace in CONUS. I more than likely will toss a few extra goodies in the package for you. I try to do that as much as I can.

Hunt around online....I do not think you are going to find a pair this nice or clean for the asking price of $100.00 shipped. Even harder to find something in this color of brown.

Another pair of Flosheims to be up for sale next....

Florsheim deep brown and off white Spectator gunboats. This pair is a set of "twins" to another pair already owned before I purchased these. Same shoe other than size. These are a size 11M and generous on that size, too! You can see from these pictures some things have been done to bring these shoes up to speed more or less, condition wise. I did not like the heel wear so it was decided to see what could be done to revamp the soles and heels. In our desire to keep the shoe as vintage as possible but to also add some vintage character to them even more so, we had the cobbler design a heel that is very "on par" with the heels on shoes from the time priod and install them on these shoes. The new soles are top choice leather from Italy. You can see the details in the channel cuts and finish burling done on the top of the channels for the stitching of the soles to the welt from the bottoms here.

As with all shoes, these have had the full treatment as well, defunking, washing and conditioning and some serious applications for the uppers. We have a shoe crayon that is a vintage tool for helping dings and such on shoes from back in the day....it was used on two spots on top of the toe of one shoe. It worked great and you can barely see anything and if not pointed out (if you were wearing these) you would not notice at all.

These shoes have some deep patina on the leather. Great care to not mess with that has made polishing these a not so easy task. But when I say polish, I should say condition and then polish of the uppers to not only ripen the patina a bit, but also to get the off white leather that has some "grain" to it similar to scotch grain, to be cleaned up and not discolored. Any further polish to any of the brown leather would be un-warranted as the shoes have a deep shine now.

The inside of these are clean and in great condition nothing wrong at all. They also note to be made UNION made on the inside of the shoes. Best guess on date, late 1950's but more than likely 1960's as to age of these nice rascals. It was a worth while experience to have these come into our home, as the Florsheim line of shoes sure started to go slowly down hill not too long after these shoes had been made and the Florsheim shoe company is never going to be the same again.

We have $120.00 of shoe repair and shoe care products into these and that is not counting the original "moolah" I did spend on them for my Husband. It was all worth it as I stated, to see what could be done to bring these up to par was a fun project to do.

If you like these shoes and desire to own them, the price shipped CONUS is only what we spent on them for our experimental learning....$120.00. Bargain as you will not see any of these same color and condition and size anywhere right now. They are not "new" but sure in near new condition to wear and should get your feet down the road for a few years before they even need an oil change!

If you want to buy any shoes I list for sale, please speak up and let me know. Many people could wear either pair of these shoes, so if you like them both, as always, I sure will give you a deal on them. We are not selling for a high amount, and love to offer a "steal deal" to all the loungers here.

PM me and let me know if you need any further information or pictures. Thanks and have a blast!
Cindy

Do not hesitate to log into your pay pal and spend some money of some shoes today. Someone will love these shoes as all the shoes I list are very much worth more than the asking price. Nice vintage is not always easy to find in your size. And normally the price is enough to gag a mule! lol!

These really are sa-weet styles, in great shape. I wish Dan had those canned ham feet you mentioned, as then they might fit me (13 EEE). Big feet, big shoes!
