Shine Box?

Was looking around for shoes and noticed that I need a shine box if I'm gonna get myself some dress shoes.

Anyone around here have a nice vintage shine box they'd be willing to sell?

Oooh! I have one that can be had VERY reasonably. A genuine Griffin ShineMaster, from a yard sale. I'll even throw in the brushes AND (calm yourself, here...) a SHOEHORN.


The only flaw is the hinges are a bit loosey goosey. Obviously repairable, or even usable as is, in less-than-perfect way.



The BEST part... The foot rest on the box represents a whole world of opportunity. You can set up shop ANYWHERE, and be shining shoes in a jiffy.

Every time I think about how great a shine box would be to own, I then think about where I would store the thing amongst all the other things I own. For now, my knee and a shoebox full of polishing paraphernalia will do.
