John at Goodwear will make me a private purchase version of the Knopf A-2 (No-Name 42-18246-p) with the lining of my choice. I'm considering using a shearling lining since he now stocks shearling. I have no idea about the cost yet. Do you think shearling in an A-2 is a good idea? Will it be too tight? I'm looking for a fall-winter jacket. Thanks.

I have an Aero Highwayman that has sheerling body lining but drill sleeves. Fit is fine but I would think sheeling in the sleeves would look odd as others have said.

John's shearling is 1/4" pile, I think. The sleeves would be something different.

Joel, have you seen John's B6?

Yes, the B6 was what gave me the idea. I want a less bulky jacket.
