Shearer evacuated

Not too much of a downpour though, or we'll get mudslides. Again.

It has cooled off a great deal and there are clouds and scattered drizzle today. I love it!

Glad Shearer is safe. My heart really breaks for those who have lost their homes. Aside from losing a loved one, it has to be the most devastating thing that can happen to a person.

Well, thank you all again for all your well wishes I was lucky and in no real danger - mostly just an inconvenience in being displaced for the better part of a week.

Like Tony said, it was much cooler today with a few sprinkles here in San Diego. The bad news is the air quality and water situation. I know that in parts of the county residents are having to boil their water, and in Ramona the water is so bad they are being urged not to use the water at ALL, even if boiled or disinfected in some way.

I drove through Camp Pendleton on Friday and it's a shame to see the hillsides across from the Pacific all charred and blackened. Likewise, it's a surreal thing to see the National Guard patrolling your neighborhood on a Friday afternoon

Not to say that violent crime is relatable in anyway, but I will never understand arson...
