Hey everyone...It's been a while since I've been on here, but I need some help. I have a Seretelli 6x beaver cowboy hat that has a stain on the crown and I don't know how to get it out. Any ideas?

Last stain I had on a hat that I could not get out I just used a Tide Pen.

I have personally given up on keeping my hats perfect. Stains just add character, especially to a working hat.

Thanks for the help guys..this is a pretty nice hat though and the stain is real big and right on the crown. Its a bone-colored hat. I'd put pics up but i dont know how to. I've been told to try woolite on it and i'd love to try yalls suggestions but i really dont want to mess this hat up.

Send it to someone responsible is my opinion. Many of the hat shops I know do repairs, or at least try their best to ameilorate the situation. They have the knowledge, experience, and equipment. And if the lighter fluid burns up the crown accidentally in the shop, they can always say "we lost it!"

I have had good results with cigarette lighter fluid but it depends on the nature of the stain. Sometimes just mild soap & water can do the trick, too.

Depends on the nature of the stain? Maybe ufguy11 is reluctant to discuss the exact nature of his stain! Is there anything that naptha might make worse?

Haha I wish i knew how i got the stain on the hat...but I dont. I always set my hats down with the crown on the bottom, so i could have set this hat down in something without knowing.
