I found this coat at the thrift shop a couple of days ago - missing the buttons and belt, but in otherwise great condition. I like the military-inspired styling of the collar, epaulets and pockets, and tapered waist. The coat is very well made and the leather is quite heavy with a pebbled surface that feels very tough and abrasion-resistant. I'm guessing it's from the 70s or so. Any one ever see one like it? Was this patterned after an actual military coat? Opinions?
