:eek:fftopic: I am definitely going to keep the topper and get some good use out of it.
Believe me, my fedora addiction is an addiction for life, people's opinions will never let me go to rehab.

Now anyone interested in these fedoras?

Well, I rarely wear any of my hats, but don't want to part with them. But if I could get top dollar, i might consider keeping only a few. Funny. If I dressed up every day, I might want them, but would still only need a few. Since I don't, i want to have them all.

Hats can come and go. There will always be hats around to own. As long as he gets a good price, he can always buy another later. I bought a sweet one at a garage sales last week for four bucks.

On the other hand, when I think of all the nice hats and suits and shoes I let go because they were slightly too big, or whatever, ten years ago when the stuff was that much more common, I could cry. White rayon suit, thirties hollywood jacket that is sill the finest one I ever saw, blue fedoras, borsalinos.

Sell it. it is just a hat.

However, I wouldn't be so sure you will get your desired prices on this forum. Not in this size. Especially without pics. But you never know.

Reetpleat is right, our pin head sizes will never fetch top dollar and I can tell you that having detailed photographs has helped me sell many vintage fedoras with ease.

When it comes to hats the folks at Style Forum are not the ones to listen to. A few there appreciate them, but very few. I see it as a way to shine light in darkness and inspire others who might be timid to don a fedora.

You are a born hat wearer man and you look terrific. Keep them a bit longer.

Anyone who says metro doesn't look good in a hat (or anyone for that matter) is just jealous or insecure.. God forbid anyone be original. I say we annex style forum and shut them down. lol

It looks like I am not going to sell these hats as this has become a motivational support thread.lol lol I am not selling these hats because I am so insecure to listen to what everybody on SF says. I am selling these hats because I no longer want them, and I would like to make some extra money. I have a Christy's Foldaway in a 2 1/2 inch brim coming in a light Grey from England. I will also get some vintage hats hopefully from Douglas.

I appreciate everybody's encouragement, but if you are going to post on this thread I hope it will be because you are interested in buying one of these hats. I am serious about selling these hats, I was joking on Style Forum about that they somehow convinced me to sell my hats, I just think they belong with a hat wearer who will appreciate them more.....I started wearing them as a high school Freshman 7 years ago and got a lot more stupidity from people then SF could think of on the Dumb threads sub section......:) :) ;) I love the Fedora Lounge, I still like Style Forum, and I will always wear fedoras. Now whose interested in buying my hats?

Too good for brown eh? You’ll get tired of blues and blacks sooner or later. Browns are good for day time wear and more casual occasions. There are so many great shades of browns and earth-tones that you’re really cuttin’ yer self short.

And a Stetson with three stitches on the brim??? Oh man, how could you dislike something so rare??? I find pleasure in the obscure and the not so common items of the period… wile so many seem to focus on one style that so many seem to admire when so many other details and styles existed within those periods that are overlooked. I don’t understand.

I can understand selling some things to make a little scratch durin’ these hard times… I’ve had to do that my self ya know, but my hats aren’t up for sale see! Fedoras are becoming very tough to come by these days. Clean crisp ones are anyway.

It’s good they’ll go to good homes but, just remember, if you sell or give your fedoras away like you say, I find top hats look quite goofy with anything but evening attire.

Last but not least, never give any thing on that fashion forum any stock… they’re just a bunch of blowhards that don’t know real taste if it bit’em in the rear!

Grab a felt hat, toss it on yer head, put very little thought into how you do so, let the hat express who you are and head out the door and have a good time! Life is too short, ejoy it!

Nicolas -- unlike most of the people who have posted here, I've met you -- in Berkeley, remember. Here is what I have to say:
1.) You look great in a hat
2.) Those styleforum people are not gay, but are straight men who put on a weird act like a snobby straight preppie's caricature of a secretly gay closeted man.
They don't know a damn thing.
