1930's Beaver Borsalino in Mink Brown
brim 2 1/2

No pictures available of the Borsalino because if my family or roomates found out I was selling this valuable of a hat they would hang me. They are the ones who happen to own a camera.

You shouldn't let those styleforum guys get to you so quickly. Wait it out a bit. You look good in a hat. :D

Nice hats, MPD. You look good in them. Are you going to carry on wearing different hats or is this your farewell to the world of fancy lids?

I'll join the chorus Met: I hope you change your mind about selling them. You will regret it, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life. Listen to your inner Rick Blaine.

Of course I am going to keep wearing hats in my life. The thing about the Borsalino is I just don't like wearing brown and I know many people do. My decision to sell the other hats was the right one, I don't regret it at all. I am very happy other fedora loungers get to enjoy them.:) I would give the clothes off my back if someone needed it more than me.

I understand why you think this. Unfortunately I never wear the hat as I don't wear brown. The Royal Stetson has 3 rows of stitching on the welt that is just not my taste. I apologize if you think its stupidity as I don't mean to rub you the wrong way.

I would even buy either of the hats if I were able to make my mind up about purchases and if they were in my size, unfortunately a 7 1/8 is too small for my 7 3/8 and too much to stretch I fear. So even though I can't buy them, I agree with metropd selling these hats if he's not wearing them as others may want to wear them.

I think the problem is the "selling off my last 2 fedoras" title--it sounds as if you'll be left without any hats at all. Do you actually mean "last two that I'm planning on selling" instead?

Cheers,
Tom

I was posting on Style Forum. The people on Style Forum said I looked better without a hat. These are my last 2 fedoras I currently have as I have sold or gave away the rest to people who wanted them more.

I have a summer felt being made from awhile back. I will always wear fedoras, its just these two are not ones that I would just "have" to have. Most importantly I will make a few more bucks as I am out of a job right now.;)

Some of the advice on Style Forum is valid, but their opinions alone are not going to dictate to me what I wear. I am going to still wear classic fedoras regardless of what people think, I just want to offer these hats to someone who really appreciates them. And have a few extra bucks in a very bad recession.

Well I think if you shouldn't put too much weight in other peoples opinions - what if they're just saying it to get their hands on your stuff! (kidding! or am I..?) But on the other hand, I believe I understand your situation. I am a collector by way of my genetics and love to expand my mind and find interesting new stuff so if/when financial hard times hit the best bet is to take a good look at what you have and why you have it. Hey, either way, life's a journey - tally ho! :p
