Selling New Attraction Lot.444 Engineer Boots (9.5D)

Hello all,

I am selling a new pair of Attractions' Lot.444 Engineer Boots (Horsebutt). The boots are in perfect condition apart from some creases near the instep trying to force my foot through. I couldn't get my feet into the boots due to my high arches.

So that's a little challenge here. I have a dedicated Point and shoot camera set to 2.4 MP, which is more than enough for internet use. Any modern smart phone will be taking photos at 8- 16 MP, many times more than you need here. Try a simple little camera that you set down to one of the lowest size and quality settings. Here's a 2.4 MP photo from my camera as an example:

Have you tried the old plastic bag trick? Don’t give up hope until you have.

If they are anything like the original lot, they are almost impossible to get on when new but once you are in, you are golden.

I have a high instep and mine are super comfortable and easy on/off now. When new, I too thought they were impossible to get on and spent ages sweating and cursing until the plastic bag saved me...!

Do these essentially fit true to size?

They are roughly a half size large. If you are, say, a 10 in Red Wing heritage, I think you would want a 9.5 in Attractions. Width fits true to size. I learned this from the Attractions rep, Atsushi. He was very helpful and knowledgeable.

This trick is amazing! Thank you, thank you! I have one question about fit. (This is my first pair of non-lace up boots) I am getting a bit of slippage on my left boot. It's not devastating but it means that my left ankle is rubbing up on stiff leather of the ankle support. Would this go away as I break in the boot? I presume it would but I am an engineer boot novice.

Just got a pair of these (lot 269) definitely not easy to slip them on but grabbing the back of the boot and pulling hard works for me. They are built like tanks. I can’t see them loosing up anytime soon.

Bit of slippage for me too but really minimal. It’ll go away once they bend a bit.

The beauty of these boots is the small width of the shaft at the ankle. One of the best silhouette out there.

My pleasure! the guys in the attractions store actually broke out the plastic bags when I was struggling to try mine on.
Heel slippage is inevitable with engineers, something you have to get used to compared to lace ups. It may reduce but unlikely to go away. I tighten the strap to reduce it - some people don’t undo this when they take off and put on their boots but I must because I think it is functional.

Hope you keep hem and enjoy them. @Mich486 is correct - they are one of the best looking engineers around.
