I measured my Vanson b, almost same on pit to pit, do you have some pictures shows current condition of jacket? How much you asking?
I remember it is heavy cotton lined? What's the exactly weight of jacket?

Thanks

I cannot tell you the exact weight of the jacket, but I know it arrived in a cardboardbox that was 4,4kg heavy. I'm guessing the jacket is around 4kg? It's by far my heaviest jacket out of all my Aeros, Vansons, etc.

The jacket is lined in heavyweight tartan. Condition is pretty much the same as when I got it from mendel. I wore it maybe 10 times at best and conditioned it with Lexol after a heavy rainshower. Since then it actually looks newer than when I received it. Mendel took good pictures, I recommend you look at them:

I think with shipping to the US, it would be about 650 USD.

Is the HWM heavier than the Cal?

They're both very heavy, but yes, judging just by lifting both of them up, one in one hand each, the HWM is heavier. Doesn't necessarily mean the Cal is made of thinner leather, though. The Cal is shorter in body and sleeves, so it's a good bit less material.

Thank you. I'm still considering both. And I don't need either. Life is tough.

Which one? Which one???

I just put on the Cal Leather the other day again and thought to myself that the sleeves on that really shouldn't be any shorter for me. I don't think it would work for you. If you want one of these two, I'd recommend the Highwayman.

Very thick cowhide, decently warm lining (think it has a thinsulate layer under the regular lining).
Shoulders: 49cm
Sleevelength: 63cm
Pit to pit: 58 cm (tapered through the body, fits tighter in the waist)
Backlength: 59 cm, but it has a front drop, it wears longer in the front.
Frontlength, collarseam to bottom: 68 cm

There generally is customs and import duty on any goods brought into the market, at least when importing into the EU. Used or not used makes no difference here. I don't know whether that's different in the US, I would be surprised though. I'll take a wild guess and say german customs offices are just more organized and strict about enforcing those fees than the US offices are. German bureaucracy is next level stuff, I'm telling you.
When sending items made in the United States back to the US be sure to mark “US GOODS RETURNED” on the customs declaration. Generally there is no duty or tax on these items.

Last question: which is the jacket weight (Kg./Oz.)?
There is no label in the jacket, however I had e-mail contact with Gwen from Cal Leathers and she confirmed the jacket is one of theirs. Also, another member posted an identical jacket a few weeks back and he too had confirmed by Gwen it was a late 60s Cal Leather. (Here:https://www.thefedoralounge.com/thr...ny-potential-ones.89562/page-121#post-2453065) Same jacket, different leather.

I don't own a bathroom scale and have no other reliable way to measure it either. I own Vanson, Aero, Langlitz, Simmons bilt and it definitely is among the heavier ones. If I had to guess, I'd say 6-7 lbs.

Which is its price?
Do you ship from Germany?
