I saw this in the back of a flooring store in La Habra that I went to today. I don't know the vintage, but it plays the "New 45 RPM records." The owner has had it for years.

Thank you, Caddykid. I don't have first-hand knowledge, but that seems to be about the time 78s came to be. (As an aside, my mother has a first pressing 78 of Elvis' Hound Dog.)
