Schott NYC 141 Cafe Racer in Black, Size 44

Hello,
new member here, ‘though I have enjoyed reading posts on the Fedora Lounge for a couple of years. I posted earlier offering an Aero Leather zip-sleeve Highwayman for sale. My sense is that it is the type of jacket more members would be interested in but I would also like to offer this Schott 141. Like the Highwayman I bought it in 2022 and have only worn it about half a dozen times. I have an older 141 that is still in good shape and realized I don’t really need two. It was a bit of an impulse purchase. It’s a beautiful jacket in like new condition. Soft but heavy cowhide, very comfortable with lots of range of motion due to the gusseted back. If you might be interested I recommend looking at it on the Schott website for details on construction, features and history. It’s a made in America classic. Schott is selling this model for $975 - I will sell this one for $800 plus shipping. Thanks for looking.

Well, since I haven’t seen any interest in this jacket at $800 I won’t fool around with little incremental reductions and drop the price to $700 plus shipping - the lowest I can go for what is essentially a new jacket. It is a fine, comfortable, and very cool, cafe racer jacket.

on this forum, unless a piece is from one of the most coveted brands or particularly rare, jackets typically sell at 50% or below of retail. schott is a great brand, but not the most coveted here.

Thank you - that is helpful to know. I thought perhaps this jacket would not be among the most sought after on TFL. I have to agree also that it’s a great brand. I think the 141 is one of their best but understand it might have limited appeal. I’ll have to think about it, not ready to sell it at half price, may just cancel the listing. Thanks again.

The last one I sold (141) fetched $250, never sold one for over $300

Thanks, I’ll accept the consensus I’ve seen so far - it’s what I appreciate about this forum. Guess I’ll just hold on to it and enjoy wearing it.
I’m not sure how to “de-list“ this jacket so my original post will probably remain to to be viewed. Thanks again for the input.
