Schott 688 classic heavy cowhide jacket

Happy New Year, all!
Does anyone have this jacket? I've been looking at it and wondering pro's or con's from anyone who has had one or handled it. Your thoughts appreciated. (I did a google search and a search here but didn't get much in the way of hits). Thanks!

I think it is basically the same jacket as the 689 except in brown cowhide instead of black horsehide. There are a few threads about that jacket.
