would it will destroy any viruses, disease, disease, whatever, that might be causing head discomfort. That said, probably any germ killing wash would work. Unique yellow-colored Listerine just didn't have the minty smell & sweet taste like mouthwashes now that might leave your head difficult.

I have no idea if this is appropriate to your condition at all, but when I get the itchy bumpy scalp (allergies manifesting themselves in this weird way!), I wet my hair, pour over a capful of Listerine, let sit for a minute, then shampoo as usual.

I have used original Sea Breeze like this for itchy scalp.
