with spring almost here and the weather turning warmer (at least here in CA) my thoughts have turned to warm weather clothing and shoes....having a tough time finding vintage inspired sandals and ideas, pics etc to put me on the right path? Such as what i should be looking for, traditional styles etc. etc.....:)

Rocket originals have some greaat wedges that are perfect for summer!
I also love espadrilles (I lived in them last summer), they are so comfy and quite cheap I know a shop called Primark over here usually sells plain one for about £4!! :)

I have a pair of Indigo by Clarks I wear to death (the Gelato model), but they're discontinued. But if anyone runs across a pair in a size seven I'd love another pair... :D

If you're in the LA area there's a person who has a booth in Olvera street that sells those tooled leather wedge sandals with roses on them for about $40. Well, that's what they cost a few years ago, anyways. The seller also sells mexican huarache sandals, which were totally a craze in the 1930s and early 40s. They look nearly unchanged- just don't get the ones with the super thick black tread on the bottom.

The Film Archive wedges on Modcloth are rather cute and retro looking.

I LOVE these Lemon Cooler sandals on Anthropologie's website.

I adore espadrilles. I wore these

pretty much every day for two summers, and I think I am going to buy two pairs this time just in case they stop making them!

Ferula98, I can't get over those shoes... they're just divine!

These Clarks Originals are quite cute and 40s looking, they don't seem to be made anymore, but there seems to be a lot of them on ebay for about £20.

Ferula, I am in complete awe!! Those are magnificent!

Ditto to the espadrille fans... they're cheap, easy to find, and classic! I have a red pair and a white pair I wore almost everyday last summer.

I also have the Remix Brisas that I bought this fall (50% off, yay!); I can't wait to wear them this summer! Remixes aren't cheap, of course, but many of their sandal styles are on sale on Amazon right now. I love these shoes so much; they're very comfortable and well made.

They are amazing! Look like something straight out of a late 40s catalogue... but they dont have a 7 or 8 :(
