My first pair!

Ooo, I'm excited! I just ordered these from Muffys.com: http://www.muffys.com/images/285.JPG

Given that they're in Oregon and I'm in Seattle, he said they should probably be here tomorrow! I just have to say, that's great customer service all around. He helped me figure out what size would work best for my short, wide feet. He also added that if the size didn't work out, let them know and they'd get a different pair out quickly. $87.50 after shipping, not bad for leather shoes. I'm impressed so far. I'll take pics when they get here!

MissElainey, those are the exact shoes I bought from Muffy's this summer! I love them. They go with everything and they're so fun to wear. It didn't take me long to break them in, either! They are worth every penny.

Cool, good to know! Since they didn't have a photo of the bottoms, how are the treads on those? slippery in fall/winter?

Very smooth on the bottom, I'll have to get those little spiky strap-on shoe things if it ices over. or just take them in a bag to work. But I love them! They fit perfect! muffys.com certainly has my undying love now. (or at least my credit card number.):D

You know, I personally haven't found them all that slippery on hardwood or grocery store floors. But I haven't tried them on ice yet!
I'm glad I know there's someone out there who is my "shoe-twin"!!

I think probably just to make them last even longer, I'll take them to work in a bag and just walk in my rainboots this winter. I'm wearing them around the house to break them in and I love them so far. I wear a USA 6.5EE aka 6.5 extra wide. They're snug, but I don't feel cramped at all. My mom did laugh, though. She said Grandma made her wear those through all of grade school because they last so long. Dad said they look like bowling shoes. He's such a brat.

Am I the only one having some issues with Muffys site? Everytime I go on it they don't seem to have any shoes listed. Did they go out of business?

Looks like only a couple of their pages are working, the others have broken server connections. maybe they're re-vamping the site? The mens page is fine.

They are calling them saddle shoes on the site, but I would call them spectators. At any rate, Forever 21 has some adorable shoes right now that are super cheap.

Also these:

$22.80

They ship to the UK and other parts of Europe as well. Shipping for US residents is free over $50. They have a ton of great accessories, lots of flappery stuff.

Just ordered my first pair of saddle shoes from Bass this morning! They are my Christmas present ;)

I happened to be watching Ellen the other morning and literally gasped when they pulled back and I saw she was wearing saddle shoes. ;)
