Anyone else think the "hst" in the title is a typo? I don't see any writing in the photos, and he doesn't mention anything about hst in the description. I must admit I was trying to figure out what hst could stand for as well, before my husband pointed out the fact that the a and the s are right next to one another on the keyboard. :eusa_doh:
I'd guess it's for shaping a novelty hat. The screw holes on the bottom make me think it has some utilitarian purpose.
If you look closely it looks like there are several small holes around the form, which would be used on a vacuum-forming mold to evacuate the air, and pull a heated sheet of thin plastic around the form.
