I'm sure I read somewhere that the rule is the shoe colour should be the same as the belt colour.I wear my brown prada brogues I got off ebay for £40 with my navy suit.

It was Ronald Reagan who really turned me on to brown suits circa '80 but my father had them in his wardrobe for most of his 93 years.
