"Royal Beaver fur felt" in Cabela's Stetson Three Forks II fedora

I contacted customer service to inquire as to the composition of the felt and was told that it was "graded as royal beaver fur felt"

Does anyone have one of these or any other Stetson that is "graded as royal beaver fur felt"? And are they worth getting at that price?

Sierra Trading Post has a Stetson fur felt, Italian -made (so they say) fedora on sale for about $30. It might be worth looking at. www.sierratradingpost.com

Sorry! Correction:The stetson is made of Italian fur felt and only size 6 3/4 is left.

...but there is no indication in the hat as to the fur source, royalty or not.
I bought mine last fall from Grapevine Hill on ebay, I paid $9 + shipping. That was a good price and a nice hat, but I would not pay $60 for it, although it is a nice $40 hat.

Did a bit of searching on Sierra Trading Post.
THIS looks pretty decent at the price point.

The Stetson Bari does not, however, with its faux leather sweatband.

The Buffalo hats look a bit more interesting, they resemble a Snowy River from Akubra.

I believe this hat is the same as Moose River which LL Bean used to sell. They may still.

They've had them in their catalog for many years. I never got one, though for a fur felt it's a good price.
