I am a Long time lurker first-time poster, and I just wanted to direct members to this recently released film on the BFI Player for it's tailoring:

In my humble opinion, the men's tailoring in this film is exquisite! I feel it's a good example of the realized ideal that illustrators and artists championed in the 1910s. I have recently become very interested between the ad and reality (title for a future thread), and I stumbled across this film in my research. I wanted to share it with you all for you to enjoy and share your opinions.

The Youtube clip I can see. I was very impressed at its authentic feel, but felt they overdid the "atmosphere" i.e. the fake damage to the film. Then I looked it up on Google and found it was actually made in 1915 ha ha.

Out of curiosity, does anybody know the purpose of the lines painted on the man's hands, seen approximately 2:27 into the Youtube Clip?
On each hand there are 3 dark lines, perhaps to give the appearance of a glove...? Does anybody know?

He is wearing gloves. If you look closely you can see the button inside the wrist when he shakes hands.
