Their sound is so authentic it’s fooled a lot of people into thinking they were listening to original recordings from the late 40s/early 50s.

To echo Chas’s point - strictly speaking this isn’t “rockabilly” of course but “Hillbilly” - Country music c.1945-55, on the cusp of spawning rockabilly (for me “rockabilly” means the stripped-down form of this music - no steel no fiddle - popularized by Elvis, Carl Perkins etc from the mid 50s)

Man, I dig that! And they're British?! (Ok, just joking...sort of.) I mean, they sound like the real McCoy! Do you know if their discs are available in the States? And, yes, they are more hillbilly.

Buddy Holly (Another great, iconic artist of the 1950s, good vocals and music)

Ebay, ebay, ebay. Or alternatively, Etsy, Etsy, Etsy. Nearly all my vintage comes from those two places and is far cheaper than repro.

Etsy is my new best friend for vintage. Just got a dreamsicle-orange 50s dress nipped at the waist for a STEAL. Glad to hear that others rely on it, too.

Johnny and Dorsey could rock it!
Unfortunately, Dorsey went weird in his solo career...being a born again christian may have been wonderful for him, but it destroyed his ability to write.
"Let's Fall in Love" and "The Train Kept-A-Rollin" will make anyone want to brawl at a soda shop.

At first I thought they were Hawaiian boys, but found out that they're Indonesians who later migrated to the Netherlands! They were very famous in that part of Europe. Two of the brothers are still alive. Man, are they rocking!

I just started to get into Rockabilly. I always listen to Big Band or Swing. I'm getting use to the rockabilly sound. I lived in Virginia for 3 years, and learned the roots of the music. I'm also getting into old country I enjoy the stories in the music.
