Perhaps I'm a little unfair in jest. I'm well aware of her significance in the avant garde art world, and I don't dismiss her capabilities there. I would be sceptical at best, however, whether she would enjoy the level of awareness and the level of financial success that brings absent her relationship with Lennon. Of course the media picture may be unfair, as happens, but she never seems to shut up about bloody John Lennon.

Rob .. I seem to recall that they bought 4 identical leather jackets in Hamburg and that these had distinctive wool inserts in the collar. I recall seeing a copy in one of the Hard Rock Cafe's ( can't remember the exact one) but they were more 60's styled and much more mass produced looking. There were lots of pics of these and also the bomber style elastic waist and cuff ones ( similar to the Harrison one which sold for £100k+ a few years ago ) ... I did see claims a few years ago that there were 4 of the bomber style jackets also but tht only one had ever been sold ..... so keep your eyes peeled on ebay

I certainly will keep a look out on eBay and I'll post it in vintage finds - unless of course it's my size.

I do love the irony of having the Stones' (the superior band, really, anyhow).


You must be kidding. The Rolling Stones were ALWAYS second rate to the Beatles, and always will be. They were jealous (M. Jagger) of the Beatles fame and tried to copy them (Sgt. Pepper / Satanic Maesties Request) every step of the way. I've watched many recent Stones concerts that they have done in the past few years, and they should have done themselves a favor and retired after Mick Tayler left the band when they were still doing some good things. Now they're just a SNL parody of themselves and are just cashing in on when they actually were any good!!!

They may be a better band critically than the Stones, but i've never enjoyed the Beatles, to me they often sound like singing chipmonks, those high pitched voices. When I listen to rock music, which is not very often, I enjoy the Stones way more, but only their earlier stuff.
