RMC J24 zipper

Hello all
On my RMC j24 I’ve had a problem with the main zipper not closing
I’ve just replaced the pull and still doesn’t close properly. I notice on the left side of the zipper towards the bottom there is some sag which seems to affect the zipper correctly closing when trying to zip
Does the main zipper need to be completely replaced?
Any suggestions on where to turn for replacement ?
I would like to have an original RMC zipper as a replacement
In the meantime I’ll reach out to RMC to see if they offer a replacement service
Thanks to all
Happy New Year !!
Jay

That’s the last thing you want to do, it’ll just break again.

Yes. It may be fixable but these zips are trash and it’ll eventually need to be replaced.
Any suggestions on where to turn for replacement ?
I’d source a NOS 50’s Talon and send it to Dena from Great Leather. She has replaced at least two zippers on RMC J-24s that I’m aware of and both times she did a great job.

Yes, Dena is great to work with, give her a call.

Sorry, can’t help, they weren’t mine. Out of those two jackets I mentioned, I know for sure that @JCSD is a TFL member so perhaps if he sees this, he can post pics of the job Dena did.

I was wondering, Can you share the zipper damage? Or can you share a short video of the demonstrating the zipper problems? Several days, another member shared his zipper problem video.

The Male zipper is not seating all the way down. Remember, the jackets were tested during quality control for proper function. Put the jacket on. Pull down with left hand the zipper, making sure both zipper tapes are taut.

As a curious bystander who will be replacing the main zips on a couple of jackets, do any of you have recommendations for where to source NOS Talons? Thanks in advance!
