Yes, it did shoot double shots. Must pack quite a kick in that form!
Coyle has an article on it
(Note this was originally intended to be Deckard's weapon)

I hope you lucky folks in NYC & LA will get to see the Bladerunner FinalCut screenings this weekend.

I'd never encourage anyone to play fast and loose with copyrights and design rights.... Just an observation, though: it seems to me that the lovingly created, unofficial versions of cult movie props and costumes are all too often vastly superior to the inevitably slapdash, crappy official versions. ISTM that the real reason for a lot of case and desist orders is fear that the unofficial product is too good to compete with. ;)

Notable exception when it comes to official products: The Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver. The props department were so pleased with the toy range version that came out off the back of the first season for Christmas 2005 that rather than spend time making more replicas in the props department, they actually elected to use those in the show. That toy you bought for twenty bucks is exactly the same as what David Tennant is using on screen! :)

Rachel in Blade Runner

I know we're not supposed to peek in the Powder Room, fellas, but I'm interested to know how your wife's search for a "Rachel" costume went.

Sean Young's character in Blade Runner has to be the most PERFECT image of Art Deco sophistication committed to film in the last thirty years. The scene where Rachel makes her first entrance still takes my breath away. The shoulder-pads, the stiletto heels, the kabuki make-up and perfect hair... the way she smoked a cigarette... My God!

It's a tragedy, that early role was probably the high point in Sean Young's career.

Speaking of retrofuturistic, has everyone here seen Gattaca, with Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Jude Law? It's one of my favorite style movies of all time.

I love everything about that film!

Bladerunner redux

No more posts on this? This movie is a cult classic-great for repeat viewings. Ridley Scott created a dark, haunting, very 'dense reality' world! Those purple puppets from Avatar would be rolled and robbed in a heartbeat in Blade Runner's LA. Come to think of it, there are probably parts of today's real LA where that would happen.
I got the very first Abbyshot V2 trench, and had Baron Boutique make the ugly orange suit (yes, got the matching trousers he seems to be wearing as he approaches Bryant's office). I am having the salt and pepper tweed ones made too.
Got Richard Coyle's blaster, after selling a kidney. It is awesome, indeed! Even the little green LED's on the ends of the 'pin vise' thing on the port side work.
Found the 1980's Addidas ref shoes on eBay.
Got a wallet with real shield, all the charge and id cards and some of that funky cash on eBay also
Phil Steinschneider still had the leather holsters and drink glasses. He may still have some of these.
Indy Magnoli's tie is as close as we can get,if a tad narrow; his shirt is OK but too light blue in my opinion. Found a source for better shirts but were problems getting them that were resolved:

This is a fun project and one that should improve over time, if there is enough interest.

I agree with this opinion. In this movie, Sean Young looked as good as any woman needs to look. I had and still have a crush on her. My wife says this is harmless. I assume she is referring to the crush on a younger, very distant woman who could easily get a restraining order, and not about me generally, although this is also true.
From the bio info I can get, this was indeed her 'great moment'. She was/is, evidently, not easy to work with.
Still not bad looking, and how many other beautiful actresses were mad as hatters?

From what Ive read, she's a loon. Didnt do herself any favors 2 years ago when she heckled a winner at a Director's Guild award. I think she did rehab after that.

Check her out in NO WAY OUT with Kevin Costner.

Another alchohol related accident? Maybe she'll sit near Kanye West at the next awards banquet.
