Reviving Forgotten Threads

I'd just like to ADD something to this particular thread. I realized that some of the old threads are being brought up, and I am sure there are many that shouldn't be brought up again. To this, even though I am still pretty "New" here, I do suggest you do please be wise on what you revive. Some of these threads bring haunting memories back. So before deciding to respond to an old thread, think about how it might affect others if it comes back. Revive harmless threads. :)

Now, there are hundreds upon hundreds of threads in the lounge that I think deserve just as much attention as the new ones.

When a thread is first developed, the soul purpose of it is to inform, to teach, to decide, and to show. So many of us lurk through a thread without giving our own input on the subject. This is very much like the golden era itself. It has long since passed, and the only reason is still exists and is accessible is because many have continued through the ages and rejoiced it's spirit.

Here's to the previous threads by past and present loungers in hopes we ALL can give them a fresh coat of paint and continue a few! :cheers1:

There is nothing like recycling an honest subject, so without any further adew, I'd like whomever is more than willing to, START REVIVING SOME OLD, UNNOTICED, AND FORGOTTEN THREADS!

hehe I tend to go waaaay back and read through threads but I never have anything to add to them that hasn't already been said. Maybe I'll rethink this next time I go vintage thread hopping hehe Great idea, Happyfilmluvguy. There are new people everyday who haven't seen a lot of what this place has to offer.

I hope this thread doesn't turn out to be a forgotten thread too.....[bad]

Did my bit, adding to two old threads this morning and by the looks of it they have died again :(

Reviving an old thread with fresh content is a great idea.

Just done my bit for recycling. (great idea!)

Fantastic idea!! as so many great threads just die off as new ones come along, and there are truely 100's of super 'oldish' threads out there just waiting for a new lease of life. Super Suggestion!

Excellent point, but then again, if we weren't delving into 'forgotten things', we wouldn't be here in the FIRST place, now would we?lol :) ;)

HIGH regards! Michaelson

This crowd never runs out of things to talk about. ;) :)

I am just happy that the right threads are being revived.

While I am at it, I think I'll go revive one of those gray hat vs. brown hat threads over at COW! ;) lol

I was just thinking, happyfilmluvguy, that you are the king of reviving old threads.

To tell you the truth, I haven't read many old threads before this. Maybe a few.

Keep at them! If any of you see a thread that has died instantly, add your own input, that is if you can relate to the subject, and start pumping some more blood into that thread! We don't want it dying on us again and again.

We have over a hundred years to talk about, plus any in's and out's of the a further past and a more recent present.

I'm glad the reviving has already begun! Mr. Hemmingway, spread the word over at COW! Revive some old threads there too!

When newcomers arrive, old threads tend to be re-started. I myself revived How did you find the Lounge, and What is your nickname, if I recall correctly. The How did you find one is still going, probably because of all the nice new members. And some nice vintage members.
Now just let me find that Jackass thread and we'll be laughing in no time.....;)

I used to be on a classic cartoon forum where reviving threads over 2 weeks old was strictly verboten. And those who dared to do so got banned.

Glad to see that this isn't frowned upon here!

I know a few forums like that. It's even better if it's a forum that hates people posting in older threads, but flames people for starting new threads on subjects that already have threads. [huh]
