Retro turtlenecks?

Hi all,

I'm looking for the "short roll" style turtleneck sweaters that were popular in the sixties (thanks largely to Steve McQueen). Any sources?

I emailed them and asked, and they replied that it was Boden. I looked Boden up, and saw no turtlenecks on their website. [huh]

I've been looking for a while for one in wool with no luck.

Linlk provided by Mr Spitfire, I believe, in a different thread. There are some decent looking 'Peruvian' alpaca turtlenecks available cheaply on eBay all the time, I'm tempted to get one to see what they are like. I'm not sure how vintage alpaca is, though it was popular in the nineteenth century apparently.

The turtleneck was first popularized in the 1920s by Noel Coward, who complained that "Now every Chorus Boy in London is wearing one"
