Resistol Re-Bashed - Opinions?

Several months ago I posted some photos of my wide-brimmed grey Resistol with a question about some minor moth bites...

I decided that I didn't mind the moth bites, that no one would notice but me. OTOH, while I liked the hat, there was something about it that just didn't work for me. At first I thought it might be the band (silly little band, I think I called it...), but in the end decided that the crown was just too high. I gave it a shot of steam and re-bashed the crown to a style that was lower and had a drop to the rear. I like it a lot better this way (might still put a wide black band on it) - just wondering what those with more fedora experience think of the look.

That is a super looking hat, especially with the new bash. I'm not much of a "thin ribbon guy" but it suits that particular hat perfectly. I wouldn't change it.

Warbaby, That is an excellent re-bash of the crown. While a wider ribbon would look terrific, the thin ribbon looks good as is. :eusa_clap
