I just picked up a Resistol Western hat, silverbelly, with a 3-inch brim and a 5 1/4-inch crown. This is a nice hat, with a fairly soft, thin-bodied crown and brim for a western hat.The factory shipping label states that it's a "Fort Worth" model. It's stamped "Kaufman's, San Antonio, "BR," and "Self-conforming." The shipping label states the price is $17.50. The Sweat band is thin brown leather, and the liner is cream-colored satin with gold printing and a guy-on-a-horse drawing. Do any of you know how long ago a Resistol Western sold for that price? Oddly enough, I paid $approx. 17.00 for it in an antique mall.
