Good Idea John! I use the pre conditioner all the time on DouglassFir trim around the house. Didn't think of it for a hat

It came out quite nicely, Mike. For your efforts, you got something you (and most of us here, I'd wager) would be happy to wear.

That's a "real" straw hat, and not a Shantung. How "vintage" do you suppose it is? Is the (apparently) original sweatband still in it?

The great thing is the size: 7 3/8 LO!
