Rescued this A-2

I found a great condition A-2 on eBay. An authentic Rough Wear 1401P. It had been destroyed with some weird lining, a plastic zipper that didn't even go to the bottom of the jacket. They got rid of the leather jacket hanger strip above the label (thank god they kept the label!). Looking like:





So I got proper knits and lining, a new leather strip, and period NOS Talon zipper and rescued it:







We are Both much happier now =)

Man, what a find! And what a rescue!!!

May I please ask what an A2 like that (shame on whoever ruined it that way. Shame!) went for on the Bay - and how much the restoration was and by whom? I'd love to know to who that credit goes.
You've got something special there. And I love the ATC patch too!!! That's what I'd want on my next A2 …
