Still 189$ is a lot of dough... Is there anyway to get jeans that look like the 501 1933 model for around 100$...
I am a bit short on budget (100$ was the amount I was looking to spend for a pair of jeans, since I need one badly...), but I want a pair of these real bad, they have belt loops and suspender buttons!!!

Levis 201 has a "vintage" style but is without selvedge denim. It is much cheaper. I didn't buy it so I can't tell about the quality.

Hey, do fabric stores sell selvedge denim? The 1880's ones are the same pattern that most of the Cowboy Action Pistol people get made custom for $100.00

Oh, I didn't knew that. I saw them in a shop and they didn't have selvedge. I suppose the other versions are at a different price point too...

Yeah, I also didn't worry about the inseam since I have to show off that selvedge seam ;)

I should clarify, I was saying vanity sized with regards to the waist size. I wear a 32 waist in Levi's and picked up the 30 waist size 201's and they fit great. I really like them, especially since I got them a few months ago 50% off @ the Levi's store.

Mattfink, Mattfink. Haven't you learned the mantra by now? "I want it rare. I want it cool. I want it good. I want it cheap. I want a niche market product with mass market availability at a mass market price."

All I can say is, that if you buy a pair of 501XX from LVC, you'll get your money's worth. You get, what you pay for.

I stopped by Target today to check out those selvedge jeans. Pretty good for the price, but too slim for me. I did find the last two shawl collar cardigan in my size.

Wow, that is pretty interesting! Did anyone get one of these E.B. shirts yet? I'm curious on the quality of the shirt.

I've ordered a number of their current line, mostly chamois and flannels (not the chambray yet though) and the quality is very good.

Some other notable items I've got my eye on:

Classic Fit 1920 Collection Reversible Vest

1936 Original Model Skyliner Down Jacket

1936 Skyliner Model Hunting Down Jacket

1942 Yukon Model Down Field Vest

Most of this heritage stuff is online only. I checked my local stores in Seattle and Bellevue (which is the Flagship store) and only saw the mainline stuff.

I stopped by the Levis store today in the meatpacking district in NYC. Great selection of LVC, and a super cool and friendly staff. Check it out if you're ever in the area.
