You know, if you see a cheap vintage toaster at a thrift shop, you could buy it and sell it to one of us on the FL...just sayin.' Then, you wouldn't have to be sad.

I've tried that before... doesn't work... somethings people have to find on their own... ebay is wonderful... it's all about the hunt... that's why we love old styles and old things, it's a thrill to go into a place and look for a treasure!

Just enter "Vintage toaster" or "Art Deco toaster" into a search field on ebay... you'll find some amazing pieces for very reasonable prices! It truely is a buyer's market right now... take advantage of it!

I’m trying to teach people to fish, not fishing for them… you know the old adage.;)

I did a search and found that they actually reproduce my toaster oven. :eusa_doh: :p
Love the vintage picture with the girl in the background on the box:

Sunbeam Radiant Toaster

Lots of retro new toasters look almost as good as my Sunbeam Radiant (wedding gift, 1958, not my wedding but.....)

The older ones, like the one in the first pic, do work better than the ones from the 1960s. Anyone remember this toaster? You drop the toast and the toaster sucks it down. It toasts to perfection thawed bread, frozen bread or already toasted toast.

It uses MUCH electricity while toasting but boy oh boy, what a great machine.
